Dunking The Recipe Poem by Bhavika Jain

Dunking The Recipe

Rating: 5.0

I stood alone in the court
With basket glittering in my eyes.
From that second, I guess
I found a new love for my life.
I dribbled the ball,
Till my knees
And jumped, so high
On my feet.
I tried the lay up and basket the ball
It rolled, but came down, all along.
I lowered my head and picked it again.
I danced with it, all through the game.
Running and jumping
Still the ball couldn't reach it's destiny.
But I had decided to be it's hope,
And wouldn't stop
Until I learn the recipe.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Basketball has been a really beautiful thing in my life. My unknown beauty began with it. I don't have time to learn it now, but definitely it's something I am passionate for. Everyone has something like this, which they do with utmost love and sincerity. Never leave it and respect it's presence in your life.
