Dust Of Life Poem by soren Barrett

Dust Of Life

Metaphor nature's way to open the mind and truth portray
Dust that falls unseen through resistance's protective screen
Penetrates the most sacred shrine now a part of what is mine
Time's tears turned to mud becomes today's flesh and blood

In the beginning raises the sun, lord over all, a myth is spun
Giver of life, from dark sets us free, dies in the lengthening shadow of a tree
God becomes the word, a holy spirit descends as a bird
Bible, Quran, or Tao, fertile poetic soil our thoughts do plough

Nature's forces take human form, understanding in light, anger of a storm
Arms of a tree, crying skies, sleeping sea, wind that sighs
God assuming human shape, or if you prefer man from ape
In all this the dust does settle as the water boils in the kettle
