Dust To Dust Poem by soren Barrett

Dust To Dust

Love has been gutted
Tender tears hemorrhage from weary wounds
The ashes of a dream have heaven butted
Memory's rain washes the tombs
Names from marble are eroded
The sun raises on a beggars world
In an eternal spring the queen of hearts is corroded
Out of a glass house a stone is hurled
Silently smashing the mirrors of time
Under a locked jaw the tongue does wilt
Prosecuted for a nonexistent crime
From broken glass raises the dust of guilt

Judgements often get brittle. Poignant imgery. Nice
