Early Evening (You In My Arms) - Poem by Michael P. McParland
As I now wake up from my much needed
late afternoon rest I send to you my sweet one
these most loving and caring kisses,
and right along with them great big hugs of pure warmth,
I love you sweet lady you're my only one.
You're my sweet Angel dove and I wish
I could be holding you now so close in my arms
in this early evening that greets us now.
I just want to sit up and hold before dinner
comes round and distraction is here.
I just want to share our deep warmth
so filled with love that others can see
there's something so special about us.
I miss you my lady and as I awake am dragging,
I just want to be with you as we start the evening.
Just gazing in your gorgeous eyes as I say I love you
and then pull you in for a kiss so sweetly pleasing.
An early evening holding my lady is the
right way to get a great evening and night going.
So as I have awaken and before I get up
and totally going feel my arms around you
with sweet kisses to warm you,
feel all of my love and caring fill
and surround you knowing I'm always with you.
As I am going about doing the little things that I must
feel and hear my hearts call saying you are the best.
My thoughts all the while will be with you
and though physically I will be working
in my mind, spirit, and dreams I'll be in bed
holding you on this early evening.
