Earth Song Poem by Ndina Kamaro Muofhe

Earth Song

When darkness drives the world into blunders,
It feels the glide of an arrogant pain
It's no question why it's torn in disdain

Autumn is gone and spring is here
But every tree remains leafless
For when it rains, it rains only in highlands
On the roofs of devils and Jezebels
Hear the noises as they wine and dine
With glasses full of bloody wines
And plates full of human flesh
Toasting in ignorance
Boasting in arrogance.

There are diamonds that are forbidden to shine
Some scrap to excrete the gleam
That pierce through walls of mocks
And smell good amid the garbage talks

Scribbles distorting life are read
The world preaches what it doesn't understand
Bowing to empty skies
Cursing fully loaded grounds
That had fed its grumbling belly.

In this darkness, the world parades
Chasing unseen ghosts
Who laugh leading it lost
As they canoe on blood rivers.

Frogs battling the elephants
In the end, nature is victimized and vandalized
Now it's brutalized and hospitalized
Sadly, It has frowned at them
The defeated point fingers to the conquerers
Conquerers create rough spelled names
To avoid the blame flames.

The white horse is pacing fast
Riders scream for it to stop
But its feetsteps are a blast
Its ears hears no sound
As they continue trying to get off

Too much demon demostrated
Even diabulus lost their control
Some walk freely so naked
Their libidos exceed the average rate
And it's spirituality that is raped.

Flipping chapters in the classrooms
Teaching young minds to be islands
Story of pain inflicting self hatred
When results come out
Brains still lack life lessons.

Listen, in the silent nights
As angels sing this song
crying flooding tears.

It's about stolen identities that can't go back
The blueprint is in the hands of the devil
Living in a house painted white
But has coal-like heart.

Listen to it in the most dreadful days
While treading on rocky ways
It's about flocks that'd gone astray
Now, to the hyenas, they've fallen preys
There's no savior when they pray.
