Eat The Oatmeal Poem by Colette Dright

Eat The Oatmeal

Caught in the rain
Lost keys
Man left
Faucet broke
Phone off
Stuck in traffic
Lines long
Got fired
Difficult past
Rent due
Didn't go to church
No reason to smile
Home alone
So, I decided to Eat the Oatmeal

Then, the sun began shining
Found keys
Husband home
Faucet fixed
Call me later
Green light
Next in line
Work today
Future bright
Mortgage paid
Church was awesome
Every reason to smile
Having breakfast with God

So no matter what happens or whatever may be the deal
If you want a positive change... Eat the Oatmeal
