Echoes From The Past Poem by Jean Dament

Echoes From The Past

Rating: 5.0

Our past love still echoes in my soul,
Like some distant thunder racing on toward it's goal,
Never quite leaving my thoughst alone,
Forever seething with no home,
Why oh! why won't this yearning end,
Instead it's always right there just around the bend,
It weighs me down like a daily storm that's constantly brewing,
I'm hard pressed & left with emotions that keep on stewing,
This lost love remains to eternally haunt me,
I'm taunted, burned & chained to you now leaving me totally unfree.
