Eclipsed Poem by G J Salgado

Eclipsed

She moved with the wind
Escaping from the world and away from herself
Until she felt her heart beat again
She took a deep breathe and inside her hand was all that she held
Passing through time and moving between stars
Closing the doors from the past and what hasn't yet come
Tonight the moon will take her far
Further away until she and the heavens become one
She glowed until her skin was no more
Her human mind slipped into a black dark hole watching it diminish and whither
The galaxy welcomed her through its portals
Everything about her faded from the earth and she took herself and all the spirits inside of her with her
The rooms were empty and the ghosts left behind slowly followed
Her breath cold but full upon her frozen lips
The surface within the meaning of her life it swallowed
Until the moon endured the awakening of the final eclipse
