Cold Metal Poem by G J Salgado

Cold Metal

Rating: 5.0

The cold autumn breeze feels good for the first minute
After that it's cold bloody wind chills me to the bone
Cold metal through my skin makes me numb
I can't feel my feet or my fingertips
It's a silver tongued devil that slips through my veins
I feel myself fade off into a bitter cold place
My soul starts to freeze unto a frozen star
The breeze rushed through what was left of me
I took a deep breath to find myself again
I watched myself escape the electrified hold it had on me
I broke free from its metallic components
Pulling the shards of crystallized diamonds out of my skin for the last time

Thank you! I hate winter weather and knowing the beautiful autumn is coming to an end as the harsh winter begins.
