Edge Of Insanity Poem by The Muse

Edge Of Insanity

Rating: 5.0

The heart pounds
The mind melts
within inches of your vicinity
I'm lost and found at the edge of insanity

The eyes watch
the lips twitch
I'm lost in thoughts of your impossible kiss

You hid it well
Your gaze and thoughts
Unknown to any other
We are in a curious muddle

We pass eachother
we stand and stare
these are moments
beyond compare

We ponder and ruminate
Life is short
But thoughts will last forever
Can I replace you already secret lover?

My deep resolve
Never before another dissolve
I melt like an icicle
In the light of the sun

The cold from my heart
freezes away my deepest fears
Stops the flow
of them mighty tears

It's good to laugh
It's good fun
But alas my friend
Too late you've begun
