Eggshells Poem by Carsten Thomsen

Eggshells

Rating: 5.0

With smiles
fragile as eggshells
we tiptoed around
everything of importance

Settling for
safe
mundane
topics

Like last week’s news
and the color of your dress

Indifferent & yellow.

@ Owain Glyn. Not unless they make the same mistake I did dating my shallow X In the lucky situation to still be close to my parents (and have no children)

I tend to act like that now with my grown-up children, do you think they're getting their own back?

The poem is dynamic in the sence that puts in confrontation the delicate, fragile and mundane things against the matters of importance. With smiles. Nice piece. Joseph Josephides Member of the International Society of Poets (ISP) Intern.Library of Poetry awarded
