Eglinton Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Eglinton

Eglington

Red, is light
Cars stop
Dressed he, reminds punk
Is in rain, long cloak
In a hand holds apple
Its colour same as light
Sometimes bites
Monkey’s mock?
To my left approaches
Firm stands, Liberty in water.
Doubtlessly a beggar and a panhandler
Clumsy or expert?
Sure cares-less for others
“That’s brave! ”
Fearful or ugly, impolite, ignorant?
Or aware and rebel:
“Don’t care? Why should I? ”
