Egyptian Tanks In Tahrir Square Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

Egyptian Tanks In Tahrir Square

Rating: 5.0

Mighty yellow metal monsters
intimidate approach Tahrir Square;
symbolic modern dread dealers
of death sent to scare spread fear;

but courage of Egyptian peaceful protesters
defies president calculated tank terror threat;
day upon day witness oppressed courageous
civilian populations demands freedom fight.

No torture dictator rule indefinitely steals
a sovereign nation’s dream freedom right;
No general president in immunity survives
indefinitely citizen’s claim to freedom right.
