Elation Regained Poem by gershon hepner

Elation Regained

Rating: 5.0

Do not think, “What can I learn
from other writers? ” Let the Muse
top thoughts of others you must turn,
transforming them as you transfuse
the lifeblood of the soul that seeks,
within the rich veins of your thought,
deep insight beyond idées fixes,
by sudden inspiration taught.
This happens––not by thinking or
by learning or by imitation––
by finding in yourself the core
where you have hidden your elation.
