Elder's marriage anniversary

It has seen 46 live years
That stands passed by sans fears
Life saw many upward and downward swings
But they were all desired to bring some changes life

She stood by me like any other woman
I am proud of being her man
We passed lean period smilingly
As it posed physical hardship but mentally made stoutly

Life has some message
And we see it like seasonal change
Some lean period prove worrisome
And later on pay dividend handsomely

I am gifted with two beautiful kids
And they have also grown now to become adults
I am called grandpa and she as grandma
We have only played as anchor with drama

I played soldier's role
And fulfilled desire of national call
There after it remained comfortable
Life seemed to be memorable

With no gun but only ink and pen
I proved good as poet even
I write continuously and stay with readers
Today I stand with family as elder
