Election Poem by Ron Hopkins

Election

I woke up this morning just before dawn
Two clowns were dancing outside on my lawn
One was a Bozo, one a Bozette
Worst bit of dancing I ever seen yet
Bozo was stiff and Bozette was jerky
Awful together, but it was kind of quirky
One wore a Trump cap, one was for Hillary
Lucky for them I was out of artillery
Bozette says Trump is a bigot and liar
Doesn't pay taxes, a womanizer
Bozo says Hillarys crooked and shady
Dishonest deceitful not a nice lady
Clowns voting for clowns is surely defensible
But me voting for either is incomprehensible
