Ellesmere Island Poem by Ima Ryma

Ellesmere Island

Ellesmere Island is way far north.
It's glacier ice is melting fast.
Underneath secrets will come forth,
Secrets long buried in the past.
Will the Fortress of Solitude,
Best known as Superman's man cave
Be a secret that will protrude,
Long buried in an icy grave?
The melting's cause is climate change,
Blamed on man's super burn abuse.
And soon the Island will look strange,
As warmer weather lets stuff loose.

A green wave is growing across,
A reemerging super moss.
