Ellington Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Ellington

Just for me and just for you,
Kiss my lips and try to answer my prayers;
For i am standing here stripped of all pretences,
And like the summer blues in the village of love.

Just for you and just for me,
Kiss my brain an d share your love with me!
For i am facing you with nothing but with all my six senses,
And like the summer blues in the town of love.

Just for me and just for you,
Kiss my breasts and romance my body;
For i do hope you will accept me for just what i am,
And like the summer blues in the city of love.

What is life making up to us?
Bury the bone with no strings attached!
And like Ellington who never touched me over there.
