Else Be Bitten Poem by Jeremy May

Else Be Bitten

Or will I curse you and burn your happiness to the ground and rest in the ashes. Undeniable delima. I don't want it, nor do I need it. Relax, turn and take this fire from my hand. Look again and I will fondle the flame till It consumes the darkness. I have no other to call... my eyes become white with light from within me.........I have nothing to say of the day when it swollows me whole. DEATH! ! HA! please me. I hid the secrets to this life inside the root of this tree. Another day will come and
take this one away and with it the fools of folly. Standing above the blackness is a Man who would give all for me... This house is clean. The cubords are filled. My rest is before me and all the beds are empty. Choke my dog and eat of the fruit while the shadows are shedding the skin of insecure delusion. This is madness with a seedless envy. Oh vanity........
I love you... Oh vanity... You keep me on the streets. Oh Vanity... you lie cheat and steal. I don't wanna hide you! ! Take my mask and let me sing! !
I have been far too simpathetic.... Do unto others as vanity does unto me.
