Elsewhere Poem by Emmanuel Joseph Olumakiss

Elsewhere

I will find love elsewhere instead to live like cat and dog
Each on a separate bed with a look of rave
Always keeping in mind that which is bygone
Instead of to live like old foes;
Pretending to have the other at heart and not willing to make amend
Or turn a new leave from the trip that've kept us backward
Its of no need to say I will wait to nurse another unborn pain
I will find love elsewhere instead to allow more anguish to germinate or flourish in this hut
Luckily I will meet a heart that is mine
Who would cater for my desires rather than keep me on the fence
Now my focus is on the future ahead
Not ready to withhold any unserious business
Despite how good they may look
No unnecessary billing if your attention is towards my heart
You must discipline your own life to my admiration
I am eager to embrace this wind of change
It could be the one loyal to her word
Try me not any further if we're not meant to live as one.
