Emotional Trauma Poem by Frederick Amazing

Emotional Trauma

In a world of shifting tides and hearts unkind,
I stand with care, my soul, open and blind.
I give my all, my love, a gentle art,
Yet find myself shattered, torn apart.

I make them first, but I'm their last,
A backup plan, a shadow cast.
I care so deeply, want to heal and mend,
But when it's me, they simply won't extend.

I love with heart, they with their minds,
A change, a word, and their love unwinds.
They turn away, leaving me in night,
Alone, in pain, without respite.

I see them speak, their words like knives,
Mocking my flaws, shaping hurtful lives.
Yet in the dark, I find a love so true,
I'd rather embrace, than those I once knew.

Should I pretend, and play their game,
Embrace the false, the love, the same?
Or turn away, hate those who seem to care,
Seem to uplift, seem to be there?

Love your enemies, the words resound,
Yet in this turmoil, it's hard to expound.
Love those who hate, hate those who love,
In this emotional storm, how to rise above?

Perhaps it's an art, a Christian life,
To love in the midst of pain and strife.
But within this chaos, I feel the weight,
An emotional trauma, a heavy slate.

Love them when they hate, hate them when they love,
A paradox that fits like a hand in glove.
Yet within this turmoil, the truth remains stark,
In the depths of my soul, I seek the light, a spark.

To heal, to grow, to find my way,
Through this emotional night, to the brighter day.
Love and hate, a tangled choreography,
Yet within me, I seek my own allegory.

So I'll stand, with heart and soul so true,
Navigating this trauma, finding what's due.
For in the end, amidst this complex drama,
I'll find my peace, and heal this emotional trauma.
