Empathetic Outcast Artist, The - Poem by s./j. goldner

for Mary

A doughty dauntless face
emerges [seemingly]
out of nowhere;
her words artfully executed,
mocking a tedious vanity

issuing a prolonged malcontentment

That disrupts the inner workings
of a balanced, unbiased society—
an innate disparity, an inversion of irony

borrowing from the world:
inessential partiality.

    Emphatic, indeed...emphatically delivered with munificently darting poetic locution.
