Empty Heads Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Empty Heads

Don't take your life to live it,
As a joke.
No!
Or allow this to be done,
Then become provoked.
No!
Stay calm and collected.
With a choosing from fools to disconnect.
Know provokers who joke are insecure.
And at best have empty heads.
Like puppets entertaining...
With vacant minds on stiff held necks.

People who demean and pick on other folks,
Are limited.
To a knowledge illegitimate.
And passed around.
Hoping like a clown,
They will hear that laughing sound.

People who demean and pick on other folks,
Are limited.
To a knowledge illegitimate.
Yet hoping to address to some impressed,
How best they can provoke...
Others they use as jokes to abuse.
Just to do to amuse themselves.
To then pretend,
They are the ones who have been victims!
