Empty Words Poem by Daniel Motte

Empty Words

Empty is my mind
Blank are the words I speak
Forgive me because I have reached my peak
I do not wish to sneak
These lies that seem to be the
Foundation of your endless sleep
One kiss is what I seem to need
Empty words in which you believe
They mean nothing to me
Shadows in the world hover over
Here, doesn't this fog unable you
To breathe. This world is in need
Of the simple human emotion.
Walk between the clouds feel the breeze
I write this with everything else
Except with ease.
Struggle with things that make
The most sense yet we see
It as an Einstein theory
We are engulfed with such fury
As children we see such problems
As nothing but a complete nuisance
These empty words confirm years
Of struggle to be more subtle
About such troubles.
