Emptyness - Poem by chantelle price

Here I am on the floor
left for the died
my pride is replaced
with the feeling shame,
shamed of failing them,
shamed of my own self,
shamed of doing things
unspoken of to the living,
this shame has now
left me feeling empty,
empty like I had no
soul to begin with,
Emptyness is all thats left.

A good depiction of the deplorable condition of life at very low ebb, well articulated and nicely encapsulated. A lovely piece of poetry bristling with insight. Thanks for sharing Chantelle. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON. (Report) Reply

Emptiness.. a feeling experienced by many in their life (and not once only..) (Report) Reply
