Warm carressing rain I feel,
Upon my face, and I rejoice,
The drought is over, the land will heal,
Nature has regained it's voice.
Already the green leaves shine again,
It's now another world,
We take the promise of the rain,
Before a chest of pearls.
The birds are singing all around,
Raising their heads to the sky,
Washing out their coats of down,
Preening their feathers, way up high.
Endless puddles and little streams
Ease the Earth's deep thirst,
A brand new day has dawned, it seems,
The rain has brought rebirth.
