Endeavored Efforts Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Endeavored Efforts

If I chose and decided to sit.
To do nothing more than this.
Done to temporarily rest.
After leaving a path,
Feeling satisfied...
Of my own accomplishments.
Regardless of facing obstacles.
Or my faith to test,
Disappointments and regrets.

I still could claim...
If I wanted to wish and it to say,
My endeavored efforts made...
Had assisted others.
In acquiring their positions.
I knew one day,
It would be possible...
To see them achieve.
Becoming professional critics.
And judgement passers.
With this to prove,
To themselves and me.
Their skills and abilities,
Were talents they always had.
