(((Endorphins))) Poem by Theodora (Theo) Onken

(((Endorphins)))

Rating: 4.9

In the trials of my youth---
I courted temptation as absolute necessity...
Craving the endorphins;
You know the feel good chemicals--
Released at moments of heated desire?
Remembering how they played with
All of my sensory nerves...
Coming so alive with blushed feeling;
Thriving in the fires of need;
Aiming for the culmination--
The peak of the communion...
And the sated afterglow that followed;
Ah, yesterdays 'feel good'
Alas, todays 'so far gone'

Underneath The Umbrella
