Engraved Marble Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Engraved Marble

Rating: 5.0

Why can’t I propagate my faith?
Why m I afraid of sure death
Who can lead me to real religion?
Professors, preachers or so called villains

I find my almighty always around
Bells ring and make me sound
I forget all bitterness and good sense prevail
All propaganda comes to an end and fail

I shall not be carried away by any trick
Even though they torture me with any stick
I shall believe him an his peaceful message
I shall have to prove my worth till the end of an age

No one may remember me by any faith
They may even hesitate to lay wreath
I shall be laid to rest by unknown people
I shall lay here peacefully without any trouble

I wish to put engraved marble near by
People may read the message and try
Who is this unfortunate soul trying to tell?
Life is not worth if we try to prove it as hell

I see nothing special in any religion
Even though they are prevalent in most of the regions
Each one is dominant in belief and conviction
Yes there is love lost and frictions

Peace may evade till you come clear
You will live amidst uncertainty and fear
No religion may guarantees you for safe conduct
They lack moral courage and power to instruct

I shall love to be buried live
Rather face fury and witness nose dive
Fall in moral values and humanity at low ebb
What shall I engrave “Don’t come again and try to stab”?
