Enigma Poem by Pamela Moorehead

Enigma

Who are we?
We are not maggots or are we?
Can we imagine who we'd be if not for life
the love of destiny
The ring of a bell or the rings of a tree
The smell of a flower
The sting of a Bee
Who are we?
Will we ever figure out the connection
or figure out our Godly connection?
Flow the river into the great seas
onto the shores and back out to the sea
How many evolutions how many to brighten up our soul
is this a mystery or have the truth been told? Who are we?
At this time of the era we must not beg nor plea
open our eyes and want to see
take off the blinders
enjoy the wind in the trees
smell the fresh rain
Call for the spring
Who are we?
I laugh giddy and happily
be ye as a child and your mind will be free
there is no more question about he or she
I know me.
