Enigma Of Thought Poem by Nik Houghton

Enigma Of Thought

Existence baffled and distressed
Emotions perplexed and anguished
Alone, persisted to shelter the excruciating
Numbness I so long eradicate
The demons in me provoke the tears
Disdaining all fears, ripping vulnerability

Masked fake smiles
Revelations depriving purity
To innocence laid barrenly

Bitter bitten affection
Expelling gleefulness of truth
That should comprehend obscurity
Must ever be battered
For what it shall escape is the love it seeks
