Enjoying Christ Poem by Gary James Smith

Enjoying Christ

Enjoying Christ

Enjoying Christ my Cornerstone
The Rock of my Salvation
Who giveth hope beyond compare
To every tribe and nation
Only but one way to Heaven
It is through Christ the Son
There's saving faith in Him alone
Hallelujah for that One

Who took old sin and destroyed its power
Through His own blest Sacrifice
And raised Himself from up the grave
To show that His victory would suffice
His name Is still our Hallelujah
For we've embraced the Cross
And every soul that trusts in Him
Shall never suffer loss

Praise awaits me every morning
For I've a name to glorify
Jesus Christ my Lord and Saviour
Whom I can't help butto magnify
Now a purchased, prized posession
Hallelujah for that Lamb
Who paid my sin-debt with His own shed blood
Who cannot but praise that great I Am!

Now my heart song rises to Him
Who rose Himself for me
No sweeter words can ever be sung
Then for the Man of Calvary
O soul arise and let thy voice be heard
For where mercy and grace is free
There's goodness to be found at the foot of the Cross
Still a helping to be found for thee

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
