Enter My Lake Poem by Naveed Akram

Enter My Lake

Enter the cave, eat it, then swing onto
The mountain to saddles and paradise.
The perplexing management defies
Deities inside deities, within reach.
A rainbow bespeaks with all rigour
Of death and ramps of steel and iron.

Ivan the Terrible commands me to die,
His wife fixes a noose around my head,
Then my hand saves me, with knots that
Defy my colour of skin, with my life itself.
To see the other lake of blood is perfect,
So that the landscape cries for hours at a time.
