Epitaph (Poem By Michael Madhusudan Dutt)
Stop, o passer-by, if you were born in Bengal;
Stay a while here beside this graveyard!
(As a child takes repose on its mother`s lap)
Poet Madhusudan takes repose that way
Falling asleep on the bosom of earth;
Birthplace is Sagordari in Jashore
On the bank of the Kapatakkha River;
Father, Rajnarayan Dutt the great; mother, Jahnabi.
