Eric Cockrell a poet of heartfelt intensity
long time ago left Poemhunter.com
twelve years ago now time is still counting
like many old poet friends gone
we shared poetic goals concerns similar aspirations
when viewing greed hostility inflicted on people
when viewing increasing hate violence
Eric Cockrell is like the ghost of poetry past
the ghost of poetry present
the ghost of poetry future
for me still I read his poetry
Eric Cockrell still reads me
poems Eric picks likes loves
are like compass needles
pointing directions
discarding the recent liked poems
my recent Eric poems loved are
'Nature Walks In Beauty'
'Herein Lies Hope We Shed Past Skins Grow Into New Bodies'
'I Write Poetry In Love Of Poetry'
'Who Catches Glimpses Cast Time Webs? '
'A Style Of Writing'
'People Abuse Recovery Programs'
'When Where Why People Seek God'
'A Desire To Know Still Depths'
'The Phone Call'
'White Light Clothes The World'
'The Poet In Me Knows'
Eric is a rare poet voice
Eric seems to often love poems
I like other poets do not like
I could keep a record of poems
Eric loves I wrote but I will not
Eric and I spent time writing
I neglect past poems written
new poems wait to be written
this will remain a rare glimpse
an at present up to date list
of poems not liked but Eric loved
Eric Cockrell remains a poet followed by many
Terence Craddock remains a shadow voice
decades past writing for poets unborn
writing for a future time
when depth love for nature virtue integrity
will again be a strong current birth born
