You can escape from the conversation
You can escape from the conflict
but you can't escape
from you being you
You can escape
from the darkness
You can escape from the light
but you can't escape
from you being you
You can escape
from the pain other people feel
you can escape
from the tears other people cry
You can get
so intoxicated that
you forget
where you come from or the
monsters you've created
but you can't escape
from you being you!
