Esperanza Poem by Mousheera Shafik

Esperanza

esperanza....
that's what she is,
she is the beauty of a flower's dew,
she is affable and bonny like a pretty yew,
A copse melody of rupturing coo.
she has never had to worry,
she is so young and strong,
she is like a triumph glory,
she is a hollowed song.
the sound of her voice is like a suave fiddle,
A dandy nymph with a glisten giggle.

esperanza....
that's how she lives,
her life is like an ocean,
full of cheers and emotions.
She is the Nereid of that deep wide sea,
in a coral castle inlaid with pearls,
She is blithe, and plays,
She is surrounded with mermaids' glee.
Her heart throbs like a flutter lark,
that kilt swiftly for birds to hark.
Birds can learn how melodies can be,
from her intonating beats deep down the sea.

esperanza...
that's how she feels,
like a wild horse,
A symbol of freedom,
so pretty and scarce.
She runs apace against the wind,
a colossal wild dream will never end.
She dreams to give an ardent love,
she can cuddle the whole wide world,
for an honest love snuggle, and a fairy word.

esperanza...

her damasked lips,
the sacred touch of her finger tips.
when she walks,
she plays that charming symphony..
the sound of her treads, are like a tambourine,
she makes her life so evergreen.
hush! ! what is that?
is that the wind?
it's swaggering,
playing with her tress,
flying over her silky hair,
playing music so soft and fair,
A sound like lyre,
that burns like fire.
flowers are joining together,
trees are dancing,
swaying and singing forever.
waves are dashing happily,
the ocean seems so jolly,
to embrace such a comely molly.

esperanza...
whence whosoever has never had her style,
or even the humidity of her angelic smile.
she is......
