Eternal Struggle Poem by Joseph Cross

Eternal Struggle

There is no escape from your own mind,
there is no hiding from your soul,
so if you simply stand there,
they will take complete control.

Beyond this great mystery,
there is no relaxing place,
the only way to rest,
is to look into your own face.

If you think you're in control,
you better think again,
but you'll never really believe me,
until you reach the end.

Life is just a mystery,
a puzzle in your mind,
and if you aren't careful,
you may leave yourself behind.
