Eudaimonia 05 - Workplace Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

Eudaimonia 05 - Workplace

Rating: 5.0

Every employer
needs to treat
human capital
as a core asset,

needs to reassess
it's work culture
and expectations
continuously,

needs to encourage
employee feedback
and reduce excessive
working hours,

to offer flexibile schedules
and remote working,
to invest in programs
of employee assistance.

supervisors and managers
should be trained to
detect signs of burnout, act
before problems escalate,

quality of work,
not its quantity
to be reckoned as
performance indicator,

workmen needs
to set work-life balance,
to be empowered
to set boundaries
for their work hours,
refuse excessive
unmanageable
workloads.

Companies need policies
that value life over profit,
and holistic wellness to achieve
sustainable productivity.
