Eulogy To Spring Poem by Alex Grove

Eulogy To Spring

The first breath of a blossomed flower
in the redeemed Spring air
after the repentance of the Winter,
things and creatures all numb by its power.

The gardens, bathed in light and tears
now encroach, sweetly and silently,
the boundless eternity,
in the light blue shades of your past fears.

The river starts flowing from the mountain,
the swans swim again in the creeks,
the birds ride the wind of the mild streams
and in the sky no more storms, nor lightning.

The golden circle anew in the forefront,
the heat back in the hearts of the pilgrims
journeying over the gleaming penance,
to follow an unknown fortune with fiery brunt.

And in the showering rains of the afternoons,
echoing, savage, in a misread mirage,
they absolve their hideous sins
in cheerful chants and hopeful tunes.
