Haussmann Boulevard Poem by Alex Grove

Haussmann Boulevard

I smiled when you brought me those spring time flowers

The ones that bloom so fast and looked beautiful inside the summer rain,

but the ones that always fade too soon, like moments, like clouds.

Saw you somewhere near Haussmann boulevard

You told me, that you leave for a place where no one knows your past, your face

I waved goodbye, you were a wanderer between life and death, day and dream...
Days went by, seasons went by, but the memories were here all those years

And I never forgot your pure smile when you left inside that busy city square

You got one with all those countless faces

Vanished, like footsteps inside the evening tide, they couldn't stay there forever
so do you, so do I

calling days under morning's shadow easy delight

You left with the evening sun starlight...

But you're free like wild horses drowning in the mystic fleeting

evening glow

a sky endless and one with the moment.
