Alex Grove Poems

every story has a dark side
every moon has a dark side
every man has a dark side
EVERYTHING has a dark side.
...

It's freezing cold outside in the middle of the desert square
and the frostiness of the breeze
on me alone it blows,
and mingles with the inward heat
...

You're faster than a bullet
Trying to reach but you're far ahead
If only you told me that I'll never
Shed the veil that bring in your head.
...

Dryer rain colliding.
Falling slowly on liars' fallen grace
There's talk of a promised land
But yet there, all the flowers bloom has failed
...

I smiled when you brought me those spring time flowers

The ones that bloom so fast and looked beautiful inside the summer rain,

but the ones that always fade too soon, like moments, like clouds.

Saw you somewhere near Haussmann boulevard
...

I stood there, silent
Witnessing the murder of my culture
Obscurity embraced me
I've never felt pain
...

The Gods will offer you pleasures
Sometimes.
Take em, grab em, hold em;
because you can't defeat Death
...

You sank your claws
into my fragile mind.
My skin wretched,
pain and lust
...

Oh my good friend,
Where do you go?
Where the winds will take you?
The northern breeze has already taken
...

Flowers of destruction
Blooming on a disused grave
Where a poor boy lays
Forgotten
...

They say night is the new day
The early dawn of your profound pray
In a world where two and two is five
And where the stars narrowly shine.
...

I can't stop thinking about you
ever and anon
you've stolen my heart
you've stolen all the thoughts
...

The first breath of a blossomed flower
in the redeemed Spring air
after the repentance of the Winter,
things and creatures all numb by its power.
...

I am a stranger in my one bones
I carry inside a multitude of souls
Of people crying, of people dying
All of their pains I can feel inside.
...

He was just a boy from the working class
With big blue eyes and a pumping heart

Working hard at being good
...

17.

I want to be like a meteor,
Travelling into the dark depths of space,
Never pretending to be a star,
Fading out eventually, leaving the shiniest trail.

Dark Side

every story has a dark side
every moon has a dark side
every man has a dark side
EVERYTHING has a dark side.

in the Corso of water
that sprinkles from the high
mountain top
and reaches the deep blue
profundities of the Sea,
there is beauty;
in the rotten burden
that every crippled man has to bear
down the stream of passions
down the Corso of life:
from birthday to another birthday
to another birthday to the last birthday
to the last day as a living man,
there is beauty.
Cheer to the sadness of Death
and mourn the joy of Life,
Earth is enriched
by your deadly cheers
by your alive mourns
and your heavenly soul will lie forever
by God's infernal upholstered chair.

every story has a dark side
every moon has a dark side
every man has a dark side
EVERYTHING has a dark side.
