Even Though Poem by Holly Jamestone

Even Though

Even though two people once
Were very much in love
Even though each moment spent
Could never rise above
The expectations blinding them
And sweet love's afterglow
There comes a rainy evening
When they let each other go

Even though they're parting
And it feels more bad than good
Even though the two of them
Just never felt they could
Envision ever stopping time
To go their separate ways
And holding out within their souls
Till future sunny days

It will be for the better
If they one day reunite
And know that they have made it
Through their long and endless plight
