An evening in London is truly a magical one
Buildings and bridges turn orange with the, setting golden sun.
A walk in the streets under the serene trees is heavenly too
When a passer by smiles, saying with eyes 'how do you do?
No squeals of children playing in the park
For they must sleep before it is too dark
Walking past the houses, in symmetrical rows
Wafts of appetizing aromas, gently tickle my nose
What's cooking in the kitchens is easy to tell,
For puddings and pizzas always have a distinct smell
Pavements are cobbled, and the small gardens are so pretty
In spring, the roads are carpeted with petals...O what a city!
Roses are inviting, in mixed colors of pink and yellow
And bunches of white roses are striking, yet so mellow.
Dainty little flowers adorn the bushes too
Swaying in the gentle breeze, tick tack too!
The scene from a bridge, is one like in a dream
Where lovely ducks quacking, are wading in the stream.
A speeding ship rushes past, creating ripples behind,
Rowers, singing with the rhythm of striking oars, trail by..
With a focus in mind.
Though a stroll along river Thames, remains pleasant for hours,
But should one become a little weary,
Can stop for a drink at the alongside bars.
Folks out there are friendly and you may chat with one or two
While sun in the sky is persistent, until nine at night too!
Rendering it's radiance without a wink
Turning the blue sky, pretty and pink.
This ambience real and romantic yet ravenous and rare
Is a treat to eyes, and moments hard to spare
Now haven't I shared about London quite a bit.....
So how about planning a real quick trip? ......
