Everlasting Portrait Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Everlasting Portrait

Traces of tears finding their way from an aching heart
that cannot be repaired for it has had way too many
moments of heartbreak through the years.

Wondering how many more tears will find their way into
this life before I die, traipsing along edges of a lost
horizon, holding onto feelings.

Ones that senses continue to bring forward into an ever-
lasting portrait of heartache and loneliness to be once
more felt by people who read them in the future.
