Everybody Is Worthy Poem by Dorsey Baker

Everybody Is Worthy

You may be
Hungry and homeless
A big house you may not live in
A big car you may not drive
But everybody is
Worthy to be given respect

You may not eat
Steak and eggs
For breakfast
You may be
Wearing rags
Instead of clothes
You may not be
As beautiful
As someone else
You may not have
Enough money
To pay the rent
Or feed your children
But everybody is
Worthy to be given respect
