Everyone Has A Dream Poem by Francis Duggan

Everyone Has A Dream

Though for many their dreams never ever come true
We all have our dreams in life for to pursue
The one without a dream i have yet for to meet
And i have met many people on many a street
The poorest people of the poor side of the town
Their dreams give them something to live for when they are feeling down
Those who lose their dreams of better times of them ahead
Feel they have little to live for with all hope in them dead
The greatest dreamers among the poorest are
They dream that in life they will yet go far
They dream of a far better life every day
Poor they may be but poor they do not wish for to stay
Everyone has a dream i firmly believe
Though only a minority their dream does achieve.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Chandan Dey 06 June 2018

Dream is like a hidden star. It starts emitting its light in a concealed manner from one's birth. If it doesn't come true, then the baton is passed from one dreamer to another and in one fine morning it comes true! ...well penned Francis, I love the rhyme, rhythm and line break... Chandan
