Everyoneis Replaceable Poem by Francis Duggan

Everyoneis Replaceable

Rating: 5.0

That everyone is replaceable only true to say
So many who thought they were irreplaceable in cemeteries lay
Some of us with our feelings of self importance tend to get carried away
Life will go on without you when you have lived your last day
Many of the greats of human history to life have come and gone
But they were replaceable and life without them goes on
They may well be remembered and history have made
But eventually memories of their existence will begin to fade
For nothing in time ever does seem to last
As it does cast dark shadows in memories of the past
But that they were not irreplaceable this fact does remain
The reason for this it's own self does explain
Since they were born as mortals just like you and i
And all mortals eventually does have to die
