Everything Burns Poem by Rachel Brewer

Everything Burns

Rating: 5.0

I watch as the world burns,
Knowing there’s nothing I can do.
I no longer try.

Everything burns,
Lives, dreams, people.
Burn it all down.

The world, on fire.
It’s hard to imagine,
A beautiful place, ruined.

Everything burns,
Families, homes, children.
Burn it all down.

I sit alone,
Hearing the screams,
Seeing the hate.

Watching it all fade away,
In front of my eyes,
Everything burns.

I know how you feel. I invite you to read and comment on my own poem 'Everything Burns'. You describe everything so vividly and clearly its almost like I can actually see and hear what is happening. Excellent.
