Everything Was Lovely Poem by Pam Morris

Everything Was Lovely

The alter flowers
were just lovely.
Every type of flower
that was in season
was represented.
Her face was just
lovely.
Only as if she were
sleeping in her very
own bed.
The service was
bleakly lovely.
everyone’s tears
were filled with
terrible emotion.
That day was lovely
that shot held in my
mind. Her.
I remember so vivid
how lovely it all was.
All except the morbid
way she died.
